Sales Accounting Team Member

Sauer Brands, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Deductions Specialist to join our Sales Accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of customer deductions, working closely with the Sales Accounting team to achieve our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Review and process deductions within a specified timeframe, analyzing data to help reduce future occurrences by working with customers and internal business partners.
- Gather backup necessary to validate customer deductions by working with the sales team and customers, and help to clear customer deductions.
- Use critical thinking skills to analyze research results to determine the validity of deductions.
- Clear deductions with vouchers or applying credit memos to the original deduction.
- Analyze customer trends and root causes of deductions to assist with actionable improvements in process.
- Research transactions and trends using computer skills in both web-enabled and desktop applications.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Clearing customer deductions quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
- Personal effectiveness-meeting timelines and productivity requirements (quantity and quality of work).
- Personal interaction, communication, and teamwork with internal and external parties, consistent with company values.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, college level accounting classes or Accounting Degree preferred.
- A minimum 3 years' experience with relevant accounting experience.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work and thrive under time constraints and juggle/prioritize responsibilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible.
- Ability to support accounting team with ad hoc projects as needed.
