Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by being aware of and adhering to company service standards, creating a positive shopping experience for customers, and responding to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Sales and Assistance: Promote company rewards programs and other business initiatives, maintain awareness of all current sales promotions, and provide sales and assistance to customers as needed.
  • Merchandise Presentation: Maintain awareness of all current sales promotions, ensure stock is well arranged and merchandised properly, and maintain cleanliness and organization of all areas within the store.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain necessary product knowledge and fitting skills to effectively assist customers with their purchases.
  • Loss Prevention: Maintain an awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff members, and participate in physical inventories, assist in shipping and receiving merchandise, and participate in merchandise placement on the sales floor when needed.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with external contacts (primarily customers) and with all levels of employees.
  • Communication Skills: Basic communication (both verbal and non-verbal), organization, and math skills.
  • Experience: Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of the policies and procedures, basic visual merchandising skills, and an understanding of the Store Presentation Standards.
