As a Sales Representative at IDI Distributors, you will leverage your robust relationship-building and communication abilities to cultivate new business opportunities while delivering top-tier service to both new and existing clients. Your focus on nurturing enduring relationships rather than pursuing quick, transactional sales will be key to supporting IDI's ongoing growth and success as a frontrunner in the insulation distribution industry.

Position Overview:

Salary Range: $66,000 - $92,400 plus commission

The Sales Representative plays a crucial role in establishing IDI's presence in the marketplace. This role involves identifying, securing, and retaining clients while consistently seeking new prospects and fostering long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify potential clients and cultivate strong relationships Conduct in-person sales visits to residential and commercial clients through office and jobsite engagements Promote the full range of products in the IDI catalog to prospective clients Ensure clients are informed of current pricing and aware of market fluctuations Follow up promptly on all sales inquiries Complete all necessary documentation, including credit applications, thoroughly Submit precise activity and expense reports weekly; engage with clients regularly Participate in routine safety meetings and advocate for IDI's core values Support and promote all IDI training initiatives; utilize these resources to enhance existing client relationships Attend all required company events Perform additional duties as needed to benefit IDI

Required Qualifications/Skills:

Proven success in selling building materials Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Excellent negotiation abilities Capacity to build and work within a small team environment Proven ability to generate new business Willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of 3 years in sales, preferably in insulation or building materials
