As a Project Financial Analyst, you will oversee all facets of project operational and financial reporting, including cost evaluation and daily collaboration with project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate and summarize information and results to project management.
  • Accountable for budgeted, actual, and forecasted quantities, man-hours, and costs.
  • Maintain necessary records regarding job progress, expenses, and change order tracking.
  • Responsible for client invoicing.
  • Execute additional tasks as directed by leadership.
  • Implement established Kiewit procedures.
  • Monitor project KPIs through earned value analysis.
  • Collaborate with project management to foster relationships and establish effective controls.
  • Assist in developing necessary SOPs for engineering project controls.
  • Represent Kiewit Engineering Controls in project meetings, including trainings and presentations.
  • Coordinate with Estimating and Business Management to support the transition from proposal to execution.
  • Make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Understand key components in project contracts that affect project controls processes.
  • Maintain integrity of past cost data.
  • Work with project team schedulers to comprehend impacts on the integrated project master schedule.
  • Contribute to the project planning system, ensuring Engineering Controls data is suitable for tracking and executing the project.
  • Ensure clear communication of project priorities, issues, and opportunities to project management.
  • Implement progress measurement and productivity reporting systems as per established procedures.
  • Participate in project management meetings, providing insights and recommendations for timely project completion.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Project Controls functional initiatives.
  • Generate, publish, and analyze weekly project reports.
  • Analyze project controls data to support project managers in directing project activities.
  • Assist in tracking project change orders and developing projections.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is required. Experience in developing resource and cost-loaded schedules is preferred. A basic understanding of financial terms and calculations (Gain, Loss, Forecast, etc.) is essential, along with a foundational knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.

Familiarity with standard cost control methods used in various project types (EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum, Time and Material, Maintenance) is beneficial. Proficiency in project controls software, such as Excel, is also preferred.
