Position Overview:

We are seeking a Regional Sales Leader who will guide and nurture a team of customer development specialists dedicated to fulfilling business goals within veterinary practices, hospitals, and specialized pet retail outlets across designated regions. This role is pivotal in enhancing team performance and driving overall consumption, market share, and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Establish clear objectives and priorities for your team in alignment with regional goals, ensuring regular communication for clarity.
  2. Monitor individual performance against sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a weekly basis.
  3. Develop strategic coverage plans for assigned territories, focusing on customer classification, penetration, and efficient routing.
  4. Set and communicate call efficiency goals by territory, reviewing performance monthly and aligning action plans accordingly.
  5. Collaborate with external customer operations managers to strengthen relationships and align on key metrics.
  6. Demonstrate proficiency in selling and negotiating within complex customer scenarios.
  7. Manage the district Gross to Net (GTN) budget to execute brand strategies while balancing customer needs with company objectives.
  8. Ensure compliance with distribution policies and commercial selling principles.
  9. Stay informed about customer strategies and industry trends to enhance in-store execution.
  10. Facilitate business planning by clinics and review performance quarterly.
  11. Utilize business analytics to drive informed discussions and improve credibility with stakeholders.
  12. Work closely with business partners across various functions to address challenges and seize opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • A minimum of 8 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in key account management.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience managing field sales teams.
  • Background in animal health or related fields.
  • Willingness to relocate for career advancement.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of business terminology.
  • Effective time management and budgeting skills.
