Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Mativ. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Products: Conduct thorough inspections and tests of in-process and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Record and Enter Test Results: Accurately record and enter test results into our ERP system.
  • Perform Manufacturing Audits: Conduct regular manufacturing audits to identify and address any quality issues.
  • Maintain Product Master Files: Ensure that product master files are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Coordinate QC Testing: Coordinate QC testing with production scheduling to ensure timely and accurate testing.
  • Issue Non-Conformance Reports: Issue non-conformance reports for any tested material that is out of specification.
  • Perform Visual Inspections: Conduct visual inspections of materials being coated and slit/converted to identify any defects.
  • Interface with Quality Assurance and Production: Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production teams to ensure seamless quality control processes.
  • Evaluate Product Quality: Evaluate product quality based on product specifications and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain QC Test Equipment: Ensure that QC test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Assist in Training: Assist in training new QA Inspectors and manufacturing personnel.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement events to identify and implement process improvements.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 Years' Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a QA or QC manufacturing environment.
  • High School Diploma Required: High school diploma required, bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Basic Measurements: Familiarity with basic measurements, test equipment, and basic math skills.
  • Medical Device Industry Experience Preferred: Medical device industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to Communicate and Work in a Team Environment: Ability to communicate and work within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 Years' Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control: 2 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control.
  • 2 Years' Experience in Medical Device or Industrial Manufacturing: 2 years' experience in medical device or industrial manufacturing.
  • Associate Degree in Chemistry or Physical Sciences: Associate degree in chemistry, physical sciences, or tech field. Relevant job experience may be considered in place of a 2-year degree.
  • Able to Collaborate and Work Well with Others: Able to collaborate and work well with others.
Position Demands
  • Manufacturing Environment: Conditions are that of a manufacturing environment.

  • Dust, Fumes, and Odors: The atmosphere may contain dust, fumes, and odors.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Protective Gloves: Protective gloves, when performing certain tasks.
  • Hearing Protection: Hearing protection, when required.
  • Other PPE: Other personal protective equipment as required for certain tasks.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting: Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Working 12-Hour Shifts: Be able to work 12-hour shifts.
