Quality Assurance Analyst

The Quality Assurance Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the technical and procedural support necessary to uphold Food Safety and Quality for all products produced within the organization. This position involves executing inspections to confirm compliance with quality protocols and procedures, engaging in employee training on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Food Safety, and Quality initiatives, while ensuring adherence to food regulations. The Quality Assurance Analyst also contributes to the formulation of quality policies and validates HACCP strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Flavor Compliance Manager to effectively implement quality management strategies.
  • Collaborate across various departments to identify and resolve quality-related challenges.
  • Spot opportunities for enhancing product and process quality while managing costs to improve efficiency.
  • Oversee documentation related to SQF, Organic, Halal, Kosher certifications, and incoming raw materials.
  • Ensure that all internal and external sanitation and environmental initiatives comply with quality standards.
  • Design and execute monitoring programs to ensure calibration and accuracy of analytical methods and equipment within the facility.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA's chemical hygiene regulations and uphold appropriate laboratory safety protocols.
  • Participate in training sessions on Food Safety, regulatory standards, and quality measurement systems for relevant personnel.
  • Assist the Flavor Compliance Manager in the development, implementation, and oversight of food safety and SQF policies and procedures.
  • Support regulatory and customer audits.
  • This role necessitates a consistent presence on the production floor.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Reports to the QA Flavor Compliance Manager.
  • Compensation ranges from $30 to $35 per hour.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the food/beverage or related chemical manufacturing sector.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline is highly preferred.
  • Experience in both laboratory and production floor environments.
  • Familiarity with food quality audits.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Exemplify professionalism in all aspects of conduct, including attendance, punctuality, courtesy, and adherence to company and management directives.
