Program Management Support Specialist

Position Overview
This role is designed to provide comprehensive support within the management and program analysis sector. The selected candidate will engage in various responsibilities aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
The following duties are expected at the full working level:
- Identify and analyze potential challenges and their underlying causes, offering strategic recommendations for resolution.
- Conduct thorough research on diverse issues, compile relevant statistics, and present findings that encompass the entire scope of a program or function.
- Monitor and assess operations, evaluating interactions with other functions to identify workflow inefficiencies or systemic issues, and propose enhancements to higher-level analysts or supervisors.
- Ensure the integrity of controls to maintain accuracy and adherence to established procedures and guidelines.
- Update and refine procedures and controls in response to changes in higher-level directives or as directed by analysts or equivalent roles.
- Draft memoranda, preliminary reports, and visual aids that convey findings and recommendations effectively.
Qualifications
While federal experience is not mandatory, candidates should possess relevant experience from the public or private sectors. One year of experience is defined as full-time work; part-time work will be evaluated on a prorated basis. It is essential to provide detailed employment dates and hours worked per week in your resume.
Specialized Experience
Applicants must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in the Federal Service. This may include:
- Performing technical tasks that support management and program analysis functions.
- Identifying and resolving issues, conducting research, and gathering pertinent data to inform decision-making.
- Utilizing database or spreadsheet software for data management and analysis.
Skills and Proficiencies
Candidates must meet typing proficiency and office automation requirements, with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute. Proficiency can be demonstrated through performance tests or certificates from authorized organizations.
Education
For roles requiring educational qualifications, candidates must submit transcripts or equivalent documentation. Degrees should be from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Additional Information
This position may require the completion of a probationary period. Selected candidates will have their salaries directed to a financial institution of their choice via electronic funds transfer.
