Position: Safety Systems Specialist
Location: Little Rock, AR
Contract Type: Temporary

ONSITE WORK REQUIRED

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of safety systems, including but not limited to: Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, Exit Signs, Smoke/Heat Detectors, UST Monitoring Wells, Eyewashes, Safety Showers, and other safety devices;
  • Perform maintenance and inspections on fire protection systems;
  • Manage lamp recycling processes;
  • Inspect safety and general equipment;
  • Oversee animal control measures;
  • Respond to miscellaneous trouble calls and fire alarm activations;
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education;
  • Minimum of two years of specialized training in electronics or a related discipline.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of the operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems;
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving mechanical or electrical issues;
  • Ability to test and monitor the functionality of equipment;
  • Skilled in performing fabrication tasks;
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with MS Word, Excel, and Access;
  • Capability to conduct routine inspections of building safety and fire systems;
  • Experience in using, operating, and maintaining electrical tools and machinery;
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions;
  • Physical capability to navigate various terrains and work in diverse environments;
  • Competence in using tools and equipment for extended periods;
  • Ability to climb ladders and access equipment for inspections and repairs;
  • Capacity to lift and transport loads of 60 lbs. or more;
  • Experience in handling hand tools and power equipment;
  • Ability to operate various equipment with hand and foot controls.
