Position Overview

Granite Mountain Quarries is seeking a dedicated individual to fill the role of Safety and Human Resources Specialist. This position is essential in fostering a safe and productive work environment, reporting directly to the Director of Safety and Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the safety reporting initiative known as "Good Catch" to promote proactive safety measures.
  • Managing all documentation and communication related to incident reporting.
  • Processing Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) for any employee-related changes.
  • Performing additional tasks as needed within the Safety and HR departments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in mining or related environments.
  • Certification under Part 46 MSHA is required or the willingness to obtain certification post-hire.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to navigate internal systems and databases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.
  • Exceptional relationship management abilities, capable of training and motivating team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
