Key Responsibilities of a Facility Sanitation Specialist:

  • Ensure the upkeep and sanitation of all flooring types, which includes sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Adhere to established protocols for utilizing chemical cleaners and machinery to avoid damage to surfaces and other items.
  • Maintain, clean, and oversee restrooms, fitting rooms, hallways, and entry areas.
  • Dispose of waste properly by emptying trash receptacles; utilize compactors for specific materials.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable cleaning agents and tools.
  • Perform spot cleaning on carpets; assist with carpet extraction and shampooing tasks.
  • Restock paper products and sanitary supplies as needed.
  • Follow the established housekeeping schedule diligently.
  • Occasionally operate heavy-duty cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned, based on the scope of work or client requirements.

Qualifications for Success as a Facility Sanitation Specialist:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Demonstrate reliability and dependability.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening when required.
  • Previous experience in cleaning is advantageous.
