Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at InLine, a leading provider of Intelligent Transportation Systems and Communication Network Construction. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will play a critical role in the development and implementation of smart transportation infrastructures, utilizing the latest technologies to enhance the way cities move and communicate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain electrical components of transportation systems, including intelligent transportation systems (ITS), traffic signals, and roadway lighting systems.
  • Install electrical and data conductors, conduit, and pull boxes.
  • Install poles and foundations, and ensure component and system grounding and surge protection.
  • Provide training and technical support to less experienced electricians, and act in a supervisory role when needed.
  • Respond to corrective maintenance requests within contract time frames, and restore equipment to operational status as quickly as possible.
  • Complete reports, logs, and perform shift-to-shift communications in accordance with established policies, procedures, and local practices.
  • Work with technical teams to resolve advanced and intermittent technical issues, and field test units or components.
Requirements
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a combination of training and work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with Journeyman Electrician Certification/Card or better required.
  • IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technician certification a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a CDL Class A or B license.
Working Conditions
  • Travel will be required, and the ability to work any shift, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to walk and climb or balance, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and moving traffic, and occasional exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.
