Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join our team at Presbyterian Villages of Michigan. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our human resource functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Assist with advertising and posting job vacancies, selecting and forwarding applicants, and verifying information used to screen and evaluate applicants.
  • Employee Data Management: Record and maintain accurate data for each employee, including addresses, absences, supervisory reports, and termination information.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Process, verify, and maintain personnel-related documentation, including legally required documents, training records, and employee leaves of absence.
  • Applicant Tracking and Database Management: Manage the Applicant Tracking Database and maintain applications as required by our record retention policy.
  • Criminal Background Checks and New Hire Orientation: Conduct criminal background checks and conduct new hire orientation to explain company policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Track training and communicate upcoming and overdue trainings to employees.
  • Performance Evaluations and Reporting: Coordinate scheduling of performance evaluations and track in our database.
  • Other Duties: Develop and prepare reports, update HR information on our websites, and attend meetings and training opportunities to stay informed on current information and skill development.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma (GED) or Associate's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Two to four years of related experience.
  • Computer Skills: Computer literacy, word processing, and spreadsheet application experience.
  • HRIS and ATS Experience: Experience with HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Certifications: PHR/SPHR or advanced certification a plus, not required.
