Position Summary

The Senior Vice President of Supply Chain Operations is a seasoned executive in e-commerce, direct-to-consumer, international, and retail operations. This role is pivotal in steering the strategic and tactical direction of expansive distribution and order fulfillment centers, optimizing small parcel freight expenditures and services, and managing third-party drop-ship partnerships. A comprehensive understanding of omni-channel retail is essential, as this position oversees the Distribution, Logistics, Sales Operations, and Customer Service sectors of the organization.

The primary objective of the SVP is to establish a Supply Chain strategy that fosters an efficient distribution environment, empowering management and their teams to achieve optimal order delivery efficiency. This role collaborates with leaders across all organizational levels and supervises a team of professionals responsible for operations and related requirements. The SVP will also engage in overarching business planning and innovation, necessitating expertise in retail and an ability to comprehend the organization's operational strengths and future potential.

Key Responsibilities

What you will be responsible for:

  • Enhancing efficiency and profitability across company operations, including formulating a multi-year strategy for Distribution, Logistics, Fulfillment, Customer Service, and Sales Operations.
  • Establishing long-term objectives and strategies for distribution and transportation teams, monitoring performance against these goals, and providing constructive feedback to team members.
  • Creating and implementing operational best practices in close collaboration with planning and sales teams.
  • Identifying opportunities and leading cross-functional teams to implement business process improvements that elevate customer experience (e.g., minimizing customer inquiries related to incorrect shipments or delayed orders).
  • Developing standard operating procedures and best practices for performance monitoring to enhance quality and delivery timelines.
  • Defining the information systems, technology, or automation needs to support key project initiatives.
  • Providing leadership, support, and motivation to retain high-caliber staff.
  • Aiming for a world-class supply chain, warehousing, and order fulfillment logistics operation.
  • Promoting total customer satisfaction through delivery, quality, and timeliness across all Operations teams.
  • Managing all outbound transportation processes and negotiating parcel freight agreements.
  • Developing and overseeing annual operations budgets.
  • Regularly interacting with the executive leadership team and department heads to ensure alignment of operational priorities with the overall company direction.
  • Building and leading a high-performance team, offering coaching and development opportunities while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications

Who you are:

  • Over 15 years of experience in leading and developing teams across distribution, fulfillment, sales operations, and customer service.
  • A strategic retail leader with a proven track record of enhancing profitability by aligning business and corporate strategies.
  • Possessing strong knowledge and prior experience in global apparel production, logistics, and coordination.
  • Ability to gather requirements from diverse stakeholders, translate them into well-defined needs, and influence across all organizational levels.
  • A strategic operations leader capable of setting direction and aligning teams for successful delivery.
  • Experience managing ERP data with internal systems.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional relationship management, networking, negotiation, and prioritization abilities.
  • Outstanding team leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Undergraduate degree in Operations or a related field.

The compensation for this role ranges from $235,000 to $255,000 annually, with eligibility for bonuses.
