La Costa Glen, a recognized leader in Aging Services, is seeking a dedicated EMT Safety Officer to enhance our community's safety and emergency response capabilities.
This full-time position involves working the Swing shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and the Graveyard shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
The EMT Safety Officer is tasked with performing essential monitoring duties and conducting regular internal and external inspections. This role is critical in ensuring immediate and effective responses to emergencies within the community while exemplifying outstanding customer service to all residents and visitors.
- Respond promptly to all emergency incidents within the community, adhering to established First Responder protocols and safety procedures.
- Assist the Safety Assistant Director in conducting random emergency drills and training sessions for staff to maintain preparedness.
- Support daily monitoring checks as directed by the Safety Assistant Director or designated management personnel.
- Carry out scheduled inspections of both internal and external areas.
- Maintain emergency equipment and supplies to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures, reporting any discrepancies or hazardous conditions to the Safety Manager.
- Provide exemplary customer service, addressing and documenting resident concerns in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, and EMT.
- A minimum of one year of experience as an EMT.
- Prior experience in a medical response setting.
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
