Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team due to an upcoming retirement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, project management expertise, and strategic planning skills. In this role, you will be responsible for training staff, developing and implementing preventative maintenance strategies, and supervising technicians to ensure safety and production objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the installation of new machinery and equipment.
  • Establish and maintain maintenance standards while supervising daily departmental activities.
  • Ensure maximum productivity by managing equipment performance.
  • Compile and analyze data on plant facilities to inform decision-making.
  • Schedule and direct manpower for all maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to align plant operations.
  • Develop preventative maintenance programs for both short and long-term goals.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and cost estimates for capital expenditures.
  • Work closely with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement.
  • Promote a culture of safety throughout the facility.
  • Monitor utility usage to enhance efficiency.
  • Select and mentor maintenance personnel to elevate departmental success.
  • Coordinate with Plant Manager, EHS Manager, and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Prepare recommendations for capital budgets in a timely manner.
  • Maintain compliance records as required by maintenance operations.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess an Engineering degree or equivalent experience, with 1 to 3 years in industrial maintenance management. Candidates without a degree should have 8-10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to engage with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work independently with strong project management capabilities.
  • Expertise in preventative and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural issues.
  • Experience managing a fleet of material handling equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Availability for off-hours support as needed.
  • Willingness to adjust work schedules to oversee maintenance staff during off shifts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with operators to resolve issues.
