Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team, prompted by an upcoming retirement. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with robust leadership, project management, and strategic planning capabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to mentor and supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring safety and production objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation of new machinery and equipment.
  • Establish and uphold maintenance standards while supervising daily departmental activities.
  • Ensure optimal productivity by taking daily responsibility for equipment performance.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records of plant facilities to inform decision-making.
  • Manage manpower scheduling and provide direction to employees for all maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to synchronize plant operations.
  • Develop preventative maintenance programs for both short-term and long-term efficiency.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and estimate costs for capital and replacement projects.
  • Work closely with the Purchasing department to ensure timely procurement.
  • Set high safety standards throughout the facility using your exceptional leadership skills.
  • Monitor utility usage (Gas, Electric, Water) daily to promote efficiency.
  • Select and develop maintenance personnel to enhance departmental success.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager, EHS Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and Purchasing team.
  • Prepare and submit recommendations for Capital Budgets in a timely manner.
  • Maintain regulatory records as required by the maintenance department.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess an Engineering degree or equivalent experience, with 1 to 3 years in industrial maintenance management. Alternatively, candidates without a degree should have 8-10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a capacity to engage with diverse individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and exhibit excellent project management skills.
  • Expertise in implementing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural issues efficiently.
  • Experience managing a fleet of material handling equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Understanding of AC and DC drives.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Availability during off-hours as needed.
  • Willingness to adjust work schedules to oversee maintenance technicians on off shifts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with operators to resolve issues.
