Key Responsibilities:- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of industrial processing equipment, including start-up and shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, and maintenance of boilers, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Facility Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of facility equipment, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency situations, including equipment breakdowns and facility issues, to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance performed, including repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and management, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or licenses may be preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in maintenance engineering, with specific knowledge of machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and boiler applications.
- Skills: Strong electrical troubleshooting ability, proficiency in PLC programming, and experience with carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist, kneel, and lift up to 100 pounds; work in confined areas and at heights; and operate a forklift safely.
The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced industrial laundry facility environment, with exposure to variations in temperature, noise, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. The role requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may involve travel to procure parts or attend training sessions.
