Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily start-up and shut-down procedures for plant machinery.
  • Safely operate and maintain boiler systems, performing necessary water and boiler tests.
  • Execute installation, repair, and preventive maintenance inspections on processing equipment and associated systems.
  • Provide emergency repairs for production machinery as needed.
  • Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair components, and perform necessary adjustments.
  • Thoroughly clean and maintain machinery and parts, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Lubricate moving parts to prevent wear and ensure efficiency.
  • Document and report any damaged or worn components.
  • Order and install replacement parts as required.
  • Identify causes of unexpected machinery breakdowns and address them promptly.
  • Prepare detailed reports on maintenance activities performed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop areas, tools, and supplies.
  • Coordinate with management to schedule regular maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams regarding new product implementations and necessary modifications.
  • Program PLCs and maintain trucks as necessary.
  • Adhere to lockout/tagout and other safety protocols.
  • Maintain the chemical storage area in compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including janitorial tasks as needed.
  • Meet established productivity benchmarks while ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Utilize CMMS systems for logging work and conducting preventive maintenance.
  • Stay updated on technical knowledge through workshops and literature.
  • Interpret blueprints and manufacturer manuals for machinery operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Work effectively with a diverse team and follow supervisory directions.
  • Uphold a positive work environment and adhere to company policies.
  • Ensure the workplace remains safe, clean, and organized.
  • Be prepared to work additional hours or shifts as production demands arise.
  • Comply with all relevant Federal, State, and local regulations.
