**Job Overview**

The Store Manager in Training (SMIT) is a key role within our retail operations team at TravisMathew. As a SMIT, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the management of day-to-day retail operations, including sales and service, team leadership, and operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Assist in leading and directing the sales and service team to achieve overall company sales objectives

• Support the management of store-level human resources functions, including associate scheduling and timecard review and approval

• Provide direction, feedback, and coaching to foster collaboration and productivity among team members

• Assist in recruiting and training a team of support managers and client experience-focused associates

• Support the management of store profit and loss by driving top-line revenue and strategically managing expense budgets

• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and key performance indicators

• Analyze customer profiles, buying trends, and competitive information to impact and drive business

• Train and coach team members to meet and adhere to client service standards and company policies and procedures

• Create and manage in-store events, marketing initiatives, and CRM activity to drive and reward repeat business

• Implement product and visual merchandising directives and techniques to maximize space and drive sales

• Manage inventory control procedures, including product receipt, transfers, and returns

• Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including front-of-house and stock space

**Requirements**

• Proficient in Microsoft Applications

• Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) systems

• Experience with back office operations management, visual merchandising, and recruitment/training

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage and mentor a team

• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

• Ability to make decisions independently or escalate when necessary

• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail store management

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a client services-related capacity
