Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team at our Canoga Park Thrift Store. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing staff, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Operations: Plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the store, including managing staff, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Customer Service: Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals.
  • Staff Management: Supervise employees in performance of duties to ensure compliance with published directives and guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that the store is maintained and adequate inventory levels are on hand.
  • Loss Prevention: Implement appropriate loss prevention measures to minimize losses and protect company assets.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Process paperwork, including time and attendance compliance, and ensure that all reports are submitted in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years previous retail management/supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Ability to accurately handle POS/cash register operations and cash transactions, ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.
  • Certifications: Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to show proof of insurance.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check, which will include a criminal history and sex offender registry check.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to: Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to: Grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts, hand trucks and miscellaneous carts.
  • Ability to: Move product up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to: Perform various repetitive motion tasks.
