Healthcare Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Ensemble Health Partners. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Assign accurate Medical Record Numbers (MRNs) and complete medical necessity/compliance checks for all patients admitted for services.
- Provide proper patient instructions, collect insurance information, receive and process physician orders, and utilize an overlay tool while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Operate the telephone switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and inter-office calls as applicable.
- Adhere to policies and provide excellent customer service in interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Meet point of service goals as assigned and conduct audits of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, including inbound and outbound calling to obtain demographic, insurance, and other patient information.
- Explain general consent for treatment forms to patients/guarantors/legal guardians, obtain necessary signatures, and witness names.
- Review eligibility responses in insurance verification systems and select applicable insurance plan codes, enter benefit data into systems to support point of service collections and billing processes.
- 1+ years of customer service experience.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) certification required within 9 months of hire.
