About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team at Alera Group, Inc. as an Account Executive. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of commercial insurance and risk management principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a large and complex book of business, typically valued at $1,000,000-$1,500,000 in revenue.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with producers and other team members to achieve business objectives.
  • Respond to formal Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and negotiate with carriers to secure optimal coverage and pricing.
  • Lead and mentor junior team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Participate in staff hiring and separation decisions and contribute to the training and development of new team members.
  • Approve time-off requests and timesheets for staff, as applicable.
  • Approve expense reports within established expense authority levels.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior commercial account management role, typically with 10+ years of total insurance experience.
  • State property & casualty agent's license.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically holds multiple insurance designations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Frequent travel to client sites, with occasional travel to branch office locations, seminars, training, and conferences.
