We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team at Amazon. This role will report directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for providing technical accounting guidance to the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals.
- Provide technical accounting guidance to the eero business, including research and interpretation of accounting standards, preparation of accounting memos, and analysis of complex accounting transactions.
- Manage relationships with Corporate Accounting Team and External Advisors to lead reviews of key non-standard, judgmental, and complex transactions.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements to ensure financial compliance with regulations.
- Lead and contribute to large-scale projects to implement process improvements and internal controls for financial reporting and technical accounting.
- Work cross-functionally to manage change and enhance communications with stakeholders.
- Support new business initiatives and other major change management impacting financial statements and related systems.
- 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
- Expertise in revenue accounting and ASC606.
- 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience.
- 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience.
- MBA, or CPA.
- Experience with accounting research and developing technical accounting memos.
Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $137,700/year to $227,700/year, depending on location. In addition, we offer a range of benefits, including medical, financial, and other perks.
