Senior Accountant Opportunity at Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Lee Hecht Harrison Nederland B.V., a unique company in the real estate industry.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to take on a leadership role and manage a team of accounting professionals as the company continues to grow and expand its operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee and manage the general ledger, including account reconciliations and adjustments, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, and identify and mitigate potential risks to the company's financial health.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and success.
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and execute internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department, streamlining financial processes and reducing costs.
  • Complex Transactions: Handle complex accounting transactions and resolve accounting discrepancies, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong track record of leadership and financial management.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
