Position Overview:
NASCAR is seeking a skilled professional for the role of Social Media Platforms Manager, based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office.

This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily planning, execution, and management of NASCAR's owned social media channels.

The Manager will guide NASCAR Social in exploring new and emerging platforms while collaborating with various internal and external business units to effectively share NASCAR's stories with our expanding audience.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and manage content strategies across NASCAR's social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, and Snapchat.
  • Monitor social media channels, discussions, and trends to lead NASCAR's engagement and responses.
  • Oversee the creation and presentation of content, ensuring a consistent posting schedule.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Creative Design, Productions, and Editorial to produce and disseminate content across all NASCAR Social channels.
  • Exhibit exceptional copywriting and grammar skills, ensuring accuracy and relevance across platforms.
  • Manage weekend content strategies, including live coverage of NASCAR national series races on social media.
  • Design and execute social media campaigns that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Supervise the development of paid content on NASCAR's social media channels.
  • Act as a representative for NASCAR Social when engaging with external stakeholders, including teams, sponsors, and social media platform representatives.
  • Encourage brainstorming and consensus-building among colleagues, exercising sound judgment in daily decision-making.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, tools, and platforms in the social and digital landscape.
  • Utilize social media analytics to enhance the effectiveness of campaigns and content.
  • Infuse the NASCAR Social team with innovative ideas and a passion for content execution.

Travel Requirements:
10%, including weekends.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of five years of relevant experience in social media, engagement, and partner management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Proficient in all company-provided hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with social media content management and reporting tools. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is a plus.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Strong writing skills and a deep understanding of social media dynamics.
  • Proven ability to lead and integrate cross-functional and inter-departmental initiatives.
  • A demonstrated expert in social media with a strong presence across platforms.
  • Experience in developing strategic communication plans and managing daily activities.
  • Experience working with senior executives.
