This internal position involves delivering partnership tax services, including tax preparation, planning, and consulting.

What you will accomplish:
  • Serve as a trusted member of the engagement team, providing various tax compliance and consulting services.

Make a positive impact by:
  • Acting as a valued tax business advisor, focusing on daily tax matters.
  • Consulting on technical issues and special projects in various areas of flow-through taxation.
  • Conducting research on diverse tax matters and responding to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
  • Coordinating with specialty tax practices on complex tax matters, including state and local, high net worth, and international.
  • Assisting in managing engagement staffing and efficiency.
  • Building strong relationships through your expertise.
  • Investing in your professional development through participation in firm-wide learning and development programs.
  • Supporting the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates achieve their professional goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Law, or a similar degree in Business; a Master's or advanced degree is desirable.
  • CPA or JD required.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in federal and multi-state tax compliance and consulting services within a professional services firm.
  • At least four (4) years of supervisory experience, including mentoring and counseling associates.
  • Significant experience with Partnerships and Special/Complex Partnership Allocations.
  • Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills.
  • Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
