GENERAL OVERVIEW:


The Regional Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a designated area of the Store while also managing overall operations during shifts as the acting Manager on Duty.

This position involves opening and closing the Store, supervising team members, and fostering a welcoming shopping atmosphere.

Responsibilities include ensuring optimal product presentation and maintaining a tidy work environment. The Regional Operations Supervisor also executes and oversees Company operational procedures as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring Safety and Security:
Recognizes that safety is paramount and adheres to safe practices in all tasks.

Maintains vigilant awareness on the sales floor to ensure a secure shopping experience for all.

Promptly addresses or reports any hazardous conditions to Store Leadership.

Responsible for the security of the premises, including managing entry/exit points, conducting daily checks on Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) devices, overseeing Cash Office security, and coordinating with armored carriers for pickups.

Ensures clear access to emergency exits by removing obstacles.
Responsible for customer safety, including accident prevention, reporting, and emergency protocols.
Conducts scheduled tests of fire alarm systems and responds to after-hours alarms as needed.

Customer Engagement:
Treats all Customers, Associates, and fellow leaders with dignity and respect.
Exhibits courtesy, friendliness, and professionalism consistently. Acknowledges Associates through Company recognition initiatives.
Brand Representation
Embodies and supports the Company brand at all times.
Maintains a professional appearance in line with Company Dress Code and ensures all Associates comply with the Dress Code.
Ensures cleanliness and organization throughout the Store, including daily trash removal.

Merchandising Standards:


Guarantees that recovery, sizing, and markdowns are executed to Company standards by instructing, delegating tasks, and following up according to best practices.

Assists with receiving merchandise deliveries as needed.
Processes all products with urgency.
Handles all non-merchandise deliveries (e.g., signs, supplies) effectively.
Maintains cleanliness and order in Stockrooms.
Facilitates the delivery and placement of merchandise on the sales floor once processed.
Ensures back-stock is secured and managed according to Company policy.
Oversees merchandising in the department, including back stock.
Minimizes loss due to damage.
Ensures compliance with monthly presentation guidelines in the assigned area.
Responsible for floor moves and promotional signage as required.
Handles re-wraps as necessary.

Loss Prevention Awareness:


Understands and adheres to the Loss Prevention Awareness Program, ensuring Store Loss Prevention by maintaining a strong customer service presence on the sales floor, engaging with Customers and Associates, and promoting heightened Loss Prevention awareness.

As a representative of Ross Leadership, demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions. Safeguards confidential information, cash, credit card data, and merchandise.
Ensures proper maintenance of the Public View Monitor (PVM) system.
Conducts package inspections as needed.
Implements all Company Best Practices to maximize productivity by minimizing unnecessary steps while working.

Front End Management:
Implements all Company Best Practices to enhance productivity by reducing extra steps during operations. Ensures Associates adhere to Company standards at the Front End.
Maintains energy and presence at the Front End, managing lines to reduce customer wait times.
Trains and coaches Associates on cash register operations, shortage control policies, and other Front End procedures to meet friendliness and productivity benchmarks.
Oversees Retail Associates' break schedules for coverage.
Ensures all equipment is functioning properly.
Maintains adequate supplies and recovery for the Front End area.
Ensures go-backs are expedited, properly scanned, security tagged, and ticketed.
Teaches Associates the 'Scan and Bag' best practice.
Ensures merchandise on the Front End and displays are saleable.

Fitting Room Oversight:
Responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the Fitting Rooms.
Ensures that all Fitting Room garment tags are audited and accounted for according to Company policy.
Ensures compliance with go-back procedures throughout the day, ensuring all returned merchandise is ticketed, scanned, and security tagged as necessary.

Administrative Responsibilities:
Ensures cash pulls and bank deposits are conducted according to Company policy.
Manages Front End control as needed.

Understands and adheres to policies regarding refund approvals, Associate purchase approvals, securing tills and cash in safes, register Paid Outs/Ins, void approvals, register media, and break schedules.

Responsible for payroll administration, including daily punch edits, Associate scheduling compliance, and payroll reporting as required.
Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Strong verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior experience in Customer Service and supervisory roles preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.
Availability to work evenings and weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to operate all Store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as necessary.
Ability to spend the majority of working hours standing, walking, and moving throughout the Store.
Ability to regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift over 25 lbs.
Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned tools.
Certain roles may require additional qualifications and skills.
