Job Overview


Aramark is actively seeking a Regional Food Safety Supervisor to oversee our Sports & Entertainment divisions within the Kansas City area.

The Food Safety Supervisor will lead initiatives aimed at a comprehensive and strategic framework to assist the organization in executing safety and risk management programs, processes, and protocols to safeguard personnel, property, the environment, and company resources.

This position will serve as a vital resource for addressing operational requirements related to occupational safety, food safety & sanitation, and environmental compliance, as well as providing employee training and supporting the execution of all Aramark safety protocols.

Coaching and mentoring of management teams and staff at various locations is a primary responsibility of this role.

This position may require occasional travel to other locations across the United States and Canada to support operations or large-scale events.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor, train, and guide Operations Management and hourly staff to successfully implement Aramark, state, and federal safety standards and regulations.
• Ensure that the location maintains up-to-date Aramark safety standards and procedural documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Aramark Safety & Risk Control, District Managers, General Managers, and Clients to review, implement, and uphold Aramark's SAFE Commitment.
• Organize and facilitate District Safety Meetings and Committee Structures.
• Foster productive relationships with local and regional compliance and regulatory agencies.
• Accompany Public Health Department/Regulatory Inspectors during on-site evaluations.
• Address regulatory non-compliance issues and mitigate future inspection violations.
• Effectively manage internal and external corrective action processes to meet regulatory requirements, identify root causes, resolve issues, restore control, evaluate and monitor processes, adjust procedures, enhance overall safety systems, and prevent recurrences.
• Support various special events across Aramark Sports & Entertainment venues throughout the Kansas City area, ensuring the highest levels of Guest Service and Quality Control.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety & health, business administration, or public health preferred,

or

equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food and/or occupational safety required.
• Previous experience in occupational, food, and/or culinary roles in a high-volume setting or health/regulatory department preferred.
• Proven leadership and training experience required.
• Strong communication, organizational, coaching/mentoring, and negotiation skills required.
• Certified ServSafe Trainer preferred or ability to obtain certification within the first 6 months of employment.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and within a matrix-style reporting structure.

Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and engage in extensive walking throughout large venues during scheduled events.
• Availability to work event-based hours, including evenings, weekends, and potentially holidays.
• Must be able to travel regularly to support our Sports & Entertainment locations within the Kansas City area, with potential additional travel to Aramark locations across the U.S. and Canada as needed.
