Job Summary:

The Norman Regional Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to lead the Central Supply and Sterilization Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the department, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the Central Supply and Sterilization Department, including decontamination, inspection, preparation, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention principles, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Central Supply and Sterilization technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent GED.
  • Associates degree or beyond in a related field (e.g., Surgical Technology, Supply Chain Management).
  • Minimum two years of recent experience in Central Supply, Sterilization, and/or Surgical Services.
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification or obtain within 9 months of accepting the position.
  • Preferred candidates will also have achieved the CHL or CSPM credential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with Instrument Tracking Systems.
  • Experience ordering supplies and instruments.
