Job Description

KBJW, a leading engineering firm in the Mid-Atlantic Region, is seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic team in our Chesapeake, Virginia office.

As a Civil Project Engineer, you will play a key role in preparing project budgets, plans, specifications, reports, permits, and designs. You will also be responsible for developing probable construction cost estimates, mentoring and training staff engineers, and coordinating with design teams and clients.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist in preparing project budgets and financial reports
  • Develop and implement project plans, specifications, and designs
  • Prepare and submit permits and approvals
  • Mentor and train staff engineers and other entry-level employees
  • Coordinate with design teams and clients to ensure project success
  • Follow and enforce company policies and procedures

**Requirements:**

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in civil engineering
  • PE License preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Proficient in other engineering software required in area of expertise
