Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer II to join our Public Utilities team at the City of Chesapeake.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze construction plans and calculations for water and sanitary sewer systems to ensure compliance with engineering design standards, local, state, and federal laws.
  • Prepare and issue technical review letters to developers, engineers, and the community to provide clear guidance on project requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to construction inspectors on Public Utilities-related engineering issues to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the Department of Public Utilities in achieving its goals and objectives.
