Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead low to medium complexity design projects, providing direction and engineering expertise to team members.
  • Oversee the completion of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary and scheduling guidelines while meeting performance targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop products and create testing systems for power tool accessories.
  • Facilitate global team meetings to track project milestones and status updates.
  • Present project updates to peers and senior management, ensuring clear communication of project status.
  • Document product performance specifications and ensure compliance with established performance criteria.
  • Initiate and monitor test lab requests, determining root causes and engineering solutions.
  • Evaluate design alternatives to meet specification objectives and implement designs into mass production.
  • Conduct design and safety reviews to secure necessary approvals for product development phases.
  • Accountable for the technical aspects of project execution, including integration of complex components, material selection, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure alignment towards timely project completion.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in product design engineering and project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects while adhering to schedules.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
  • Experience managing low to moderate complexity projects or subsystems of larger projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project.

Preferred Skills:

  • Project Management expertise.
  • Experience in designing components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Solid modeling capabilities.
  • Knowledge of material selection and GD&T.
  • Manufacturing and assembly experience.
