We are seeking an experienced civil engineer to join our municipal engineering team as a Project Manager in our Milwaukee office. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing municipal engineering projects, serving as the point of contact for clients, and overseeing planning, design, and construction services for clients in the Milwaukee metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership staff to develop project pursuits and build relationships with existing clients and prospects.
  • Develop project approach, schedule, and budget, and negotiate scope and fee with clients.
  • Assist clients in identifying and applying for funding and obtaining necessary permits at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Develop high-level design criteria and project work plan.
  • Lead project teams and coordinate tasks with engineers, designers, and construction staff.
  • Conduct project team coordination meetings and serve as the point of contact for clients on all project-related matters.
  • Ensure QA/AC processes are implemented and manage project performance and deliverables.
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) and WI PE license are required.
  • 8+ years of broad-based experience as a civil engineer with a focus on municipal engineering.
  • 3+ years of project management experience.
  • Experience with planning, design, and construction of local roads, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and drainage projects.
  • Experience with municipal government, advisory roles for capital budgeting, project development, and deliverables.
  • Experience with project management functions, including project scoping, schedule, budget development, and QA/QC.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop client relationships, market new business, make public presentations, and write technical reports.
  • Knowledgeable with civil/environmental design and modeling tools, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Arc GIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, XP-SWMM.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client and project sites as needed.
