As a Senior Project Engineer in the Rapid Innovation Center (RIC), you will spearhead the development of projects of low to medium complexity within the Accessory Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead low to moderate complexity design projects, providing direction and engineering expertise to team members.
  • Oversee the work of designers, engineers, and other project team members.
  • Ensure the successful completion of engineering projects within budget and scheduling constraints while meeting performance targets.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop products and create test systems for power tool accessories.
  • Complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate global team meetings to track project milestones and status.
  • Present project updates to peers and senior management.
  • Document and confirm product performance specifications.
  • Establish and adhere to procedures and standards to ensure products meet or exceed performance criteria.
  • Initiate and manage test lab requests.
  • Identify root causes and propose design or engineering solutions.
  • Analyze and select design execution alternatives to achieve specification objectives and implement designs for mass production.
  • Conduct design and safety reviews to secure necessary approvals for product development phases.
  • Accountable for the technical aspects of project execution, including integration of complex components, material selection, packaging, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure all teams are aligned towards timely project completion.
  • Drive project design to align with market-driven design guidelines, fulfilling requirements for cost, timing, reliability, and high-volume manufacturing.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in product design engineering and project management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and tasks while adhering to schedules.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.
  • Experience managing low to moderate complexity projects or subsystems of larger projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.

  • Solid modeling capabilities.
  • Material selection knowledge.
  • Understanding of GD&T.
  • Manufacturing and assembly experience.
