Position Summary:
The Healthcare Relationship Manager acts as a vital link between our physicians and the services offered at the practice. This role is essential in facilitating communication between referring healthcare providers and our specialized physicians. During outreach visits, the manager engages with referring doctors to discuss patient management, referral processes, and innovative treatment options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships with referring healthcare professionals to enhance patient referrals, ensuring seamless referral pathways.
  • Initiate strategies to boost patient volume and cultivate positive perceptions among both internal and external referral sources.
  • Enhance service visibility by strategically engaging with targeted referral networks.
  • Identify and implement tactics to encourage provider interaction and engagement.
  • Monitor competitive positioning to safeguard and expand market share, including regular assessments of competitor strengths and services.
  • Develop and maintain a systematic approach to profiling and analyzing market areas, focusing on demographics, competitors, and shifts in healthcare services.
  • Utilize patient feedback to pinpoint areas for improvement that may negatively affect referral rates.
  • Evaluate liaison activities by producing and sharing regular reports on patient visits, outcomes, and their influence on referral trends.
  • Collaborate with local practices, hospital administrators, and clinical directors to strengthen the referral network.
  • Continuously network and distribute practice/physician informational materials to referring physicians and healthcare facilities.
  • Coordinate and schedule necessary meetings with physicians.
  • Provide weekly updates on previous visits, highlighting outcomes and outlining follow-up strategies.
  • Deliver weekly plans for upcoming visits, including objectives, administrative tasks, and educational sessions.
  • Assist in organizing educational meetings for referring physicians and internal staff.
  • Exercise independent judgment to address the needs of referring physicians and resolve issues to maintain robust referral relationships.
  • Contribute to team efforts by completing additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare sales is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated motivation and a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in data analysis, statistics, and product offerings.
  • General medical knowledge, particularly regarding our facility's services and treatment options, is preferred.
  • Proven ability to communicate persuasively, lead effectively, and build strong relationships.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
  • Commitment to promoting quality improvement through the development and maintenance of standards.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with individuals at all levels.
  • Sound judgment in responding to inquiries and knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities.
  • A collaborative team player who can effectively engage and build consensus among cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
