Position Overview
We are seeking a Strategic Commercial Manager who will be tasked with formulating the strategy, establishing the commercial framework, and negotiating contract renewals for our organization.

This is a remote position based in the United States. Candidates must be located within the US.

Key Responsibilities
As a Strategic Commercial Manager, you will play a vital role in our business by supporting the retention and expansion of our most significant clients.

  • Proactively plan renewal opportunities annually to set clear goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and monitor client health to create an objective assessment of risks and opportunities.
  • Devise the renewal strategy for clients in the manufacturing sector.
  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership through clear and concise messaging.
  • Lead the analysis and preparation of contract renewals and competitive requests for proposals (RFP).
  • Guide and advise internal teams on deal generation concerning solutions, incentives, and terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies effectively.
  • Challenge and influence internal teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Understand NielsenIQ's corporate strategy to inform the process and proposed solutions.
  • Partner with account leads to develop compelling themes that align client priorities with NielsenIQ.
  • Review and interpret contract terms and conditions.
  • Negotiate agreements with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and liabilities associated with contracts.
  • Ensure compliance of contracts with all requirements.
  • Work closely with legal and finance teams to develop contract terms.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree or higher in business, finance, or a related field.
- Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) from a related company is required.
- Self-motivated and highly driven to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with NielsenIQ solutions, tools, and applications.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of strategic thinking capabilities.
- Experience in contract negotiations.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex information and contracts.
- Strong attention to detail and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Capacity to drive results in a dynamic environment.
