This role is essential for overseeing a range of projects, from simple enclosed control systems to intricate e-House customer orders, ensuring that we consistently surpass client expectations through effective project management. This encompasses the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of customer projects.

The Project Manager is responsible for confirming and overseeing customer projects, delivering a comprehensive package of work that includes, but is not limited to, Electrical Enclosures (e-Houses) equipped with electrical distribution and automation control systems, HVAC, fire and gas systems, as well as additional customer-specific features and services. This position manages the entire job process from order preparation, through manufacturing release, product shipment, post-shipment support, and financial reconciliation, leveraging a solid understanding of various electrical products and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assumes responsibility for validating the project's scope of work, timeline, budget, and contractual terms with the client, addressing risks, technical, and commercial aspects, and serves as the primary contact for the client throughout the project lifecycle. (Project Initiation)
  • Establishes and maintains project organization, timeline, risk management register, and ensures consistent communication with the client to meet expectations. Engages directly with the client, internal manufacturing teams, and external vendors. (Project Planning)
  • Oversees the execution of the client’s project order, ensuring adherence to the project plan through kick-off meetings, project timelines, and communication among all stakeholders, while facilitating the exchange of technical requirements and project information. Drives decision-making towards effective cross-functional collaboration and efficiency. Manages risk and change, resolving issues with client interaction that fosters positive feedback and enhances relationships. (Project Execution)
  • Leads the monitoring and control of the project’s performance throughout its lifecycle. Key activities include verifying task completion, monitoring the project team, managing the flow of project updates among team members, reporting on timelines, resolving issues, and administering contracts. Tracks project progress against the plan and provides regular updates to key stakeholders. Measures and reports on project performance indicators. (Monitoring and Controlling Project Work)
  • Facilitates the project closeout process, including financial reconciliation, confirming the arrival of job site equipment, coordinating installation and start-up activities, and ensuring completion of training support. Acts as the primary contact for the client and coordinates with support services such as field services, post-shipment support, and training functions. Captures lessons learned and secures documentation approvals for future projects.
  • Utilizes a foundational knowledge of electrical products and their applications, demonstrating an understanding of the essential knowledge, processes, and terminology required for effective project management.

  • Demonstrated organizational and time/project management abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management principles and project finance.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain technical and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in defining and implementing short- and medium-term action plans to enhance customer satisfaction while driving business growth and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Project, and Excel.
  • Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Capable of making decisions and escalating issues appropriately when necessary.
  • Skilled in conflict management and maintaining composure under stress.
  • Adaptable to changing circumstances.

Education

  • A four-year degree is required.
  • A BS degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred.
  • PMP (PMI), CPMP/CPMA SE Internal Certification is preferred.
