POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Project Manager will oversee significant Hospital/Clinical or IT initiatives with limited oversight, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

The successful candidate will manage key projects, collaborating with subject matter experts and project managers to plan tasks, estimate resources, track time, report status, and manage deliverables. This role also encompasses the management of smaller system implementations, tailored enhancements, tool assessments, and process evaluations.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and sustain implementation and custom development work plans for Hospital/Clinical or IT projects using MS Project.
  • Prepare comprehensive Project Plan documents, including project charters, scope statements, Gantt charts, team structures, and governance plans.
  • Generate Project Deliverables such as system design specifications, training schedules, testing protocols, and cutover plans.
  • Oversee budgeting and resource tracking for major projects.
  • Maintain a repository of project documents and best practices, assisting team members in utilizing deliverable templates.
  • Lead small teams (1 to 3 members) in custom development, package implementations, and business process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office Suite.
  • At least 3 years of experience in implementing significant Hospital/Clinical or IT projects.
  • Minimum of 3 years utilizing a structured systems deployment methodology.
  • Experience managing small projects (3 to 5 team members) or serving as a team lead on larger projects (10 or more team members).
  • Proven ability to analyze business and systems requirements to formulate project plans, including tasks, resource estimates, deliverables, and design documents.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
  • PMP Certification is advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in change management, conflict resolution, and facilitation.
  • A solid track record of achievements in technology development and support.
