POSITION SUMMARY

The Employee Engagement Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading PSSI's Employee Engagement initiatives within facilities that typically have fewer than 50 team members. This individual is tasked with implementing PSSI's engagement policies for both new hires and their trainers. A thorough understanding of the engagement principles is essential, as this person will be responsible for effectively communicating these concepts to team members involved in the program, ensuring its successful execution within the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To be considered for the Employee Engagement Program Coordinator role, candidates must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Recruitment Strategy: Collaborate with local workforce agencies, engage with non-profit organizations, recommend advertising strategies, and coordinate offsite recruitment efforts to attract potential candidates.
  • Screening and Onboarding: Ensure all applicant screening processes are completed and maintain the recruitment and retention tracking system. This includes presenting the New Applicant Video, conducting interviews, reviewing candidates' work histories, outlining essential job functions, and discussing the benefits of a career with PSSI.
  • Initial Experience Management: Conduct initial orientations, complete necessary paperwork for new hires, and introduce the 30-day Challenge.
  • Trainer Coordination: Work with Operations to identify and designate trainers for new hires, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary training materials.
  • Cultural Sustainability: Schedule and facilitate weekly meetings to uphold the culture of the Employee Engagement Program, including debriefs with site management and new hires, as well as training sessions with trainers.
  • Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews to ascertain reasons for departure and manage the collection of company-issued equipment.
