Overview:

This role is pivotal in facilitating client service and enhancing sales enablement efforts to foster new client connections while nurturing and expanding existing relationships with High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) clients within Wealth Management.

It embodies the Client Service Value Proposition.

Engages and collaborates with essential stakeholders within the Wealth Management framework to guarantee clients have access to tailored resources and solutions that meet their unique needs and circumstances.

Employs operational, technical, and functional expertise to uphold the execution of policies and procedures that align with all facets of Wealth Management sales and service strategy. Addresses routine service challenges within the team.


Primary Responsibilities:


Manage the daily transactional requirements of wealth clients, which include, but are not limited to, issue resolution, overdrafts, account delinquency, wire transfers, book transfers, and account maintenance, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions for clients.

Utilize sound, independent judgment and take ownership of operational challenges arising from direct client interactions or feedback from the Client Team.

Resolve standard service issues with the objective of surpassing client expectations, thereby retaining and expanding client relationships. Facilitate the opening and onboarding of new client relationships by acclimating clients to our systems and confirming they have received all necessary information and materials.

Develop, manage, and sustain robust client relationships through daily interactions with clients, the Wealth Management team, and internal business partners, contributing to the retention and growth of existing client relationships.

Provide sales support for market-specific initiatives, including event coordination, process enhancements, and sales strategies.

Stay informed on products and services, internal policies and procedures, and external developments, including regulations that may impact clients and the organization.

Review daily departmental reports to ensure adherence to operational, security, and audit protocols while promoting a positive client experience.

Follow established procedures when report reviews identify issues to ensure resolution.

Comprehend and comply with the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in alignment with the Company's Risk Appetite.

Identify risk-related concerns that require escalation to management.
Foster an environment that champions diversity and reflects the Wilmington Trust brand.

Uphold internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points along with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:
A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 1 year of client service experience in financial services, or alternatively, a combined minimum of 5 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 1 year of client service experience in financial services. Strong customer service skills, interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency with personal computers and relevant software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools is required.

Experience Preferred:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, commercial banking, and/or branch operations. Familiarity with the Bank's retail and commercial banking systems and knowledge of Private Banking products and services is advantageous. Trust experience and the ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment are preferred.
