Coating Specialist

The Coating Specialist role involves various preparation tasks related to paint application, primarily focusing on the masking and taping of components before the finishing phase. This position is structured to cultivate the essential skills required to become a skilled manufacturing painter.
Key Responsibilities:- Applying tape and protective materials to components
- Removing masking from painted items
- Inserting plugs into metal components
- Sanding down imperfections
- Learning powder and/or liquid painting methods under guidance
- Conducting quality assessments
- Managing inventory of masking supplies
- Masking and taping techniques
- De-masking processes
- Sanding proficiency
- Quality control inspections
- Inventory oversight
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to adhere to instructions
- Effective time management
- Physical stamina
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 800 hours.
Work Environment:This role is conducted in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to heavy machinery and equipment, which may involve noise. The position primarily requires standing for extended periods, occasionally up to six hours daily, and lifting items weighing up to 50lbs. Some tasks may necessitate brief periods of sitting.
