Client Relationship Specialist in Wealth Management

Overview:
As a pivotal member of the Wealth Management team, you will facilitate client servicing and enhance sales enablement efforts aimed at establishing new client connections while nurturing and expanding existing relationships with High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) clients. Your role is essential in delivering the Client Service Value Proposition. You will collaborate and communicate effectively with key stakeholders within the Wealth Management framework to ensure clients receive tailored access to all necessary resources and solutions based on their unique circumstances. Your operational, technical, and functional expertise will be vital in supporting the implementation of policies and procedures that align with the Wealth Management sales and service strategy. You will also address routine service issues within the team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Address the daily transactional needs of wealth clients, including problem resolution, account maintenance, wire transfers, and more, ensuring timely and satisfactory responses to client inquiries.
  • Exercise sound judgment and take ownership of operational challenges arising from client interactions or feedback from the Client Team, aiming to resolve routine service issues and exceed client expectations.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring they are well-acquainted with our systems and have received all necessary information and materials.
  • Develop and maintain robust client relationships through regular interactions with clients, the Wealth Management team, and internal partners, contributing to the retention and growth of existing relationships.
  • Provide support for market-specific sales initiatives, including event coordination and process enhancements.
  • Stay informed about products, services, internal policies, and regulatory developments that may impact clients and the organization.
  • Review departmental reports to ensure compliance with operational, security, and audit standards while promoting a positive client experience.
  • Adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, identifying and escalating risk-related issues as necessary.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that reflects the values of Wilmington Trust.
  • Maintain internal control standards, ensuring timely resolution of audit points and regulatory issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Required:
A Bachelor's degree along with a minimum of 1 year of client service experience in financial services, or a combination of 5 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 1 year in financial services client service.

Demonstrated customer service skills
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
Excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in personal computers and relevant software applications

Education and Experience Preferred:
At least 3 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or commercial banking
Familiarity with the Bank's retail and commercial banking systems
Knowledge of Private Banking products and services

Experience in trust services
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
