We are currently seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital in enhancing our capabilities and fostering the growth of our most valuable asset—our personnel. Division of Environmental Programs & Climate Initiatives within OGS Design & Construction

The client for this initiative is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).

Responsibilities
    • Oversee the collection of Environmental Project Declarations (EPDs) for construction initiatives within the OGS D&C portfolio.
    • Maintain an organized database of EPDs gathered from construction projects.
    • Facilitate communication among diverse groups and individuals involved in projects to ensure accurate completion of EPD submissions.
    • Consult with D&C Project Managers, Team Leaders, and consultant architects and engineers regarding EPD submissions.
    • Provide constructive feedback to supervisors for enhancing the EPD collection process based on hands-on experience.
    • Represent the Division of EPCI as a stakeholder in the EO22 Embodied Carbon Working Group, with guidance from supervisors.
    • Stay informed on industry trends concerning embodied carbon for materials such as asphalt, concrete, glass, and steel.
    • Assist in the creation of internal guidance documents related to the implementation of EO22 Embodied Carbon Guidance, Buy Clean Concrete Guidelines, and future initiatives.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.
    • Some travel may be necessary.


Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in architecture, architectural technology, landscape architecture, building science, engineering, engineering technology, construction technology, construction management, environmental sciences, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building or rehabilitation projects, with comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of construction and documentation.
  • Professional experience in preparing, implementing, or reviewing plans and technical specifications, coordinating with construction material manufacturers and suppliers, and managing document control.
  • Experience in advancing initiatives from development through to implementation and completion.
  • A demonstrated interest in promoting sustainability and resilience within the built environment.
  • Ability to follow directions from project managers and mentors to execute project tasks effectively.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address process-related challenges and technical issues.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic proficiency in technical writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access, including database development and data collection.
  • Envision, Well-Building, or LEED certification is a plus.

Compensation: Min: $ Max: $40.00

The range provided is the salary that the Firm, in good faith, believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate's qualifications and location.
