Position Overview

This role can be filled at either the Analyst or Senior Analyst level. The expected salary range for the Analyst level is $84,600 to $94,000, while the Senior Analyst level ranges from $107,100 to $119,000, both varying based on experience.

Job Location

This position is on-site, with a standard Monday to Friday schedule. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required for scheduled maintenance and emergency coverage.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will possess advanced technical and engineering problem-solving skills to support plant operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering projects.
  • Offering technical consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
  • Performing engineering tasks as directed by supervisors, applying general engineering principles.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of work, adhering to standard design criteria and codes.
  • Conducting independent research and analyses to support technical projects.
  • Recommending improvements to enhance performance and comply with regulations.
  • Executing switching orders safely in collaboration with qualified electricians.
  • Managing off-hour emergencies and scheduled maintenance work.
  • Utilizing a CMMS to manage work orders for equipment.
  • Coordinating substation maintenance activities throughout the year.
  • Overseeing the electrical distribution and metering software program.

Qualifications

Analyst Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of Medium Voltage Systems and their maintenance.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of various mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Senior Analyst Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of Medium Voltage Systems and their maintenance.
  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of various mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with preventative maintenance management software.
  • Project coordination experience with regulatory agencies.
  • Knowledge of Central Utility Plant and Building Automation Systems.
  • Experience with chemical treatment and filtration systems.
  • Ability to prepare technical documents and presentations.
  • Familiarity with building codes and safety standards.
  • AutoCAD skills are a plus.
  • Certification as a Certified Energy Manager or Professional Engineer is a plus.
