Position Overview

This role can be filled at either the Analyst or Senior Analyst level. Below are the minimum qualifications for each level:

Analyst Level:

Expected salary range of $84,600 to $94,000, dependent on experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes commission and 401(k).

Senior Analyst Level:

Expected salary range of $107,100 to $119,000, dependent on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes commission and 401(k).

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be well-versed in the maintenance and operation of large-scale facilities and centralized and distributed utility systems. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing advanced technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering activities, programs, and projects.
  2. Offering technical consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
  3. Performing engineering and technical tasks as directed by supervision, applying general engineering principles.
  4. Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
  5. Conducting independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
  6. Recommending equipment, new concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, or comply with regulatory changes.
  7. Executing switching orders safely with Qualified Electricians.
  8. Assisting in off-hour and weekend emergencies and scheduled shutdown work.
  9. Utilizing a CMMS system to manage work orders for equipment.
  10. Coordinating and executing substation maintenance throughout the year.
  11. Managing the electrical distribution and metering software program.
  12. Overseeing all Utility Revenue grade metering across the complex.

Minimum Qualifications

Engineering Analyst Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering Technology) and 3+ years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of Medium Voltage Systems (4160 and 13,200 volts) and their maintenance.
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of chillers, cooling towers, high-pressure boilers, pumps, air compressors, electrical systems, control systems, and piping systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret various technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Engineering Senior Analyst Level:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering Technology) and 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of Medium Voltage Systems (4160 and 13,200 volts) and their maintenance.
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of chillers, cooling towers, high-pressure boilers, pumps, air compressors, electrical systems, control systems, and piping systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret various technical drawings and diagrams.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications (for both levels)

  • Experience with preventative maintenance management software (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with project coordination involving regulatory agencies.
  • Experience with Central Utility Plant and Building Automation System (BAS) Controls.
  • Knowledge of chemical treatment and filtration systems.
  • Experience in preparing calculations, reports, specifications, and presentations.
  • Familiarity with building codes, OSHA, and NFPA standards.
  • AutoCAD skills are a plus.
  • Certification as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Professional Engineer (PE) is advantageous.
