Position Summary:
The Lead Formulation Chemist plays a crucial role in the entire process of product formulation, from concept to final product. Key responsibilities include innovating new products and overseeing the development and reformulation processes within the hair care sector. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong formulation and innovation capabilities specific to hair care products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative formulas and enhance existing products under the guidance of management.
  • Conduct stability assessments, monitor physical stability, and packaging compatibility, while updating results for review.
  • Coordinate sample submissions for testing and ensure timely approvals.
  • Prepare Product Technical Information (PTI) for all approved formulations, including detailed specifications and stability reports. Participate in manufacturing trials alongside the Technical team.
  • Adhere to project budgets and timelines, ensuring compliance with the new product development process.
  • Monitor project timelines to meet established targets.
  • Research and assess new raw materials for potential projects.
  • Engage with raw material suppliers and industry experts to deepen understanding of available technologies.
  • Utilize professional networks to incorporate relevant technologies into the company.
  • Monitor competitor patents and collaborate with the Legal team for potential patent applications.
  • Collaborate with external research organizations to facilitate technology transfer to the R&D department.
  • Stay informed on industry literature relevant to new projects and technologies.
  • Initiate continuous improvement strategies as necessary.
Candidate Profile:
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 to 10 years of laboratory experience with a robust background in hair care formulation and product development.
  • Demonstrated scientific rigor and curiosity, with a preference for hands-on laboratory work.
  • Ability to apply a wide range of analytical techniques to meet R&D needs effectively.
  • Enthusiasm for exploring innovative ideas and proactively developing new concepts for the product pipeline.
  • Strong collaborative skills with effective communication abilities across various functional teams.
  • Commitment to mentoring and guiding junior team members.
  • Adherence to industry best practices, including lab safety and good manufacturing practices.

Compensation and Benefits:
