Project Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
As a Program Manager, you will act as the deputy to the Navigation Division Chief, overseeing the preparation of comprehensive budgets and prioritizing project components for effective program execution.
Financial Oversight:
Direct and manage accounting resources to ensure seamless program execution, while coordinating with various stakeholders, including shipping firms, port authorities, and environmental agencies.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain communication with navigation stakeholders to address issues impacting the use of navigation projects, investigate navigation challenges, and propose improvements.
Project Management:
Collaborate with project managers to finalize plans and specifications for contracts, providing necessary information, estimates, and support for construction oversight.
Personnel Management:
Administer personnel functions through subordinate supervisors, oversee administrative operations, and participate in selection committees for employee promotions.
Survey Operations:
Supervise the Survey Section Chief and manage Hydrographic and Land Survey operations within the district.
Maintenance Planning:
Lead the development of maintenance plans for authorized navigation projects to ensure their ongoing functionality.
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria and demonstrate relevant experience in program management, particularly in maintenance activities related to navigation facilities.
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience is required, including managing maintenance activities for navigation projects and coordinating the work of subordinate staff.
Evaluation Criteria:
Candidates will be assessed based on their competencies in areas such as accountability, leadership, and strategic thinking.
Additional Information:
This position may require a probationary period and is subject to a background investigation to determine suitability for federal employment.
