Role Overview:
The Construction Project Coordinator plays a vital role within the Project Management team, tasked with planning and supervising projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
The responsibilities of the Project Coordinator may vary significantly based on the project's size and complexity, influencing the scope of their involvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and manage the contractual obligations of both Sierra Construction and the project owner.
- Review and approve invoices and payment applications from subcontractors.
- Document and distribute meeting minutes effectively.
- Assist the Project Manager in negotiating and managing subcontractor agreements.
- Communicate with owners, clients, consultants, and subcontractors as needed.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination to meet established deadlines.
- Prioritize and manage administrative tasks, including Requests for Information (RFIs) and drawings.
- Prepare and submit documentation, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Review shop drawings for trade coordination and adherence to contract documents.
- Assist in conducting accurate quantity take-offs.
- Monitor material deliveries to align with the project schedule.
- Compile closeout documentation, including manuals and warranties for client turnover.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager on procurement activities.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, with the authority to halt work for safety violations.
- Maintain project management files and logs using Sage 300 CRE.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Experience with Sage 300 CRE is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated work ethic and ability to function effectively within a team.
- Capability to build and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
