Portland, Oregon, United States Dynalectric-Oregon Full time

About Dynalectric Oregon:

With over 80 years of experience, Dynalectric Oregon has been a trusted provider of specialized electrical services in the Pacific Northwest. Our commitment to local engagement has propelled us to become one of the leading electrical contractors in the region.

As a comprehensive electrical firm, we possess the in-house capabilities to design, construct, install, and seamlessly integrate all elements related to electrical, controls, and telecommunications systems. Our collaborative approach—operating under one roof—enables us to reduce costs, enhance precision, and improve communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Position Overview:

The BIM Project Coordinator is responsible for managing the BIM process from initiation to completion, ensuring that all BIM deliverables align with the project timeline, budget, and scope. This includes acting as a liaison in the field, coordinating models, staffing the BIM team, and facilitating clear communication among all project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading BIM Modelers, delegating tasks (including hands-on contributions when necessary), establishing priorities, and overseeing the quality assurance and quality control of 3D models and 2D drawings in accordance with established standards.
  • Analyzing project schedules, budgets, and deliverable requirements to effectively plan BIM staffing, while promptly reporting any impacts from changes or rework to the project team.
  • Maintaining open lines of communication with Superintendents, Foremen, and Project Managers to ensure clarity of ownership, mutual understanding of expectations, and adherence to schedules.
  • Keeping all relevant parties, including management, project management, clients, and general contractors, informed about the progress of bids.

This is a permanent, full-time position, based either in an office or on-site, with typical working hours from Monday to Friday. Overtime may be necessary to meet project deadlines, and while weekend work is infrequent, it may occasionally be required. Some travel to active construction sites may be necessary.

Required qualifications include:

  • A comprehensive understanding of electrical and telecommunications systems for large and complex construction projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, and BIM 360.
  • Capability to produce BIM deliverables, including 3D models, 2D installation/prefabrication drawings, and Total Station/QML point layout files, in accordance with established standards.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and welfare options (medical, dental, and vision), paid holidays, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance, and an employee assistance program.

Dynalectric Oregon is an Equal Opportunity Employer, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
